CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Alliance Counselling is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our established team and fulfill an important role in providing the highest quality of service to our clients and supporting the effective growth and development of the clinic and its staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of relevant clinical experience
• Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
• Specialization in ACT, trauma, grief, and EMDR, including experience of delivering these treatment modalities on an individual and group basis
• Experience with the development of programs for specialist cases
• Experience with the management of group therapy programs
• Experience with the supervision of clinical psychologists and other practitioners
• Clinical experience with children and adolescents
• Ability to speak Spanish to work with Spanish-speaking patients in person

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Expertise in clinical and health psychology
• Experience in clinical intervention during catastrophic disasters
• Published research in pediatric oncology and psychological aspects of cancer
• Teaching experience in developmental psychology and mental health
• Prior involvement in research teams that can inform new methods
• Experience working with diverse international backgrounds

• Conduct consultations
• Conduct psychological intake assessments
• Develop and deliver treatment/intervention plans
• Collaborate with schools and/or other professionals in providing a holistic approach to assessment and treatment
• Provide supervision to other practitioners
• Prepare reports based on assessment and/or treatment progress
• Work with family members and conduct family sessions
• Maintain proper case records and progress records
• Ensure services are planned and conducted within the guidelines of professional standards and ethics
• Develop mental health-related training and educational material
• Conduct mental health-related talks and training
• Provide psychological support to Spanish-speaking clients in their native language
