Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is passionate about the field of medicine to join the Therapeutic Endoscopy group as a Clinical Research Assistant II at The Ottawa Hospital. The Clinical Research Assistant II will be responsible for recruitment and data collection for our therapeutic endoscopy registry, obtaining and maintaining ethical approval for a variety of studies, and assistance with various other projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic clinical setting. They should be able to work effectively within a team environment, with limited supervision once trained, and have excellent communication skills.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE):
- 2 years of clinical research experience
- Secondary school diploma
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonization - Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
- Experience with ethics board study applications
- Proven ability to carry out the tasks required for clinical research studies and navigate competing priorities.
- Commitment to quality and excellence, attention to detail in ensuring compliance with the protocol.
- High energy and communication skills to ensure successful project progression and patient recruitment and retention.
- Strong computer and data entry skills: including experience with electronic data capture.
- Training and experience in EPIC are an asset but will be provided.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in health economics/conducting cost-analyses.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
