JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Family and Community Medicine, Research Division, at Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to work with Dr. Alice Zhang on her “Vending Machines for Community Health project” and Dr. Brad Linn on his NIH R21 “Emotion Dynamics and Alcohol Use in NIAAA-defined Recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder”

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the research projects, including:

  • Coordinating meetings among community partners and taking meeting minutes
  • Conducting interviews with stakeholders
  • Cleaning data obtained from the vending machine
  • Author, review, and submit regulatory compliance documents and maintain communications with internal and external entities (IRB, ORA, NIH, Clinical Trials Office and HRPP), maintain relationships with governmental or regulatory agencies, research organizations, and central University offices
  • Editing, creating and printing educational materials
  • Develop recruitment and data collection plans including methods, tools, goals, and evaluation procedures
  • Managing outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate award administrative tasks; assist researchers with proposal preparation and submissions
  • Develop operating procedures and workflow processes to ensure that the scope and direction of the project is on schedule; monitor project progress and deliverables; generate reports and deliver presentations to stakeholders
  • Manage and track budgets and resources to assure efforts align with project/study guidelines.
  • Ordering of project supplies.

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
