Responsibilities

• Work closely with the relevant R&D teams to ensure clinical research activity within UHS is initiated efficiently.
• Ensure workload is carried out in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the UK Policy for Health and Social Care Research and current legislation.
• Manage a portfolio of studies at various stages in the approval pipeline, requiring the ability to prioritise and adjust plans according to Divisional and Trust requirements/strategy.
• Assist R&D teams with study set-up to ensure accuracy and timeliness and provide the correct level of assistance to achieve this aim, which may vary from team to team.

Experiences / Skills

• Healthcare background
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft applications for managing and analysing information, e.g. Word and Excel
• Relevant experience in conducting or organising clinical research trials
• Awareness of current legislation regarding research governance issues
• Motivation for research
• Attention to detail
• Good organisational skills
• Able to work alone or as part of a team
• Able to prioritise tasks
