ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Fellow to take part in a wide range of ongoing research as part of the Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Team (IDCRT), based at St Mary’s Hospital, and working across the Imperial Healthcare Trust NHS Trust. The Clinical Research Fellow will have the opportunity to take part in a wide portfolio of ongoing inpatient clinical research in acute infection working under the supervision of Dr James Millard (Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer) and Professor Graham Cooke (Professor of Infectious Diseases and Consultant in Infectious Diseases) in the Department of Infectious Disease.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

Responsibilities will include the development and co-ordination of clinical research studies, including several randomised controlled clinical trials of novel therapeutics and diagnostics for both viral and bacterial infections, platform studies, and observational cohort studies.
The post provides experience of clinical research in a multi-disciplinary clinical research environment.
You will be working alongside and responsible for supporting and developing the wider team including clinical research nurses and practitioners. The IDCRT works closely with the clinical infectious diseases team, and the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to the clinical care of patients and participate in wider professional development and educational opportunities within both the clinical and research teams
