POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Research Project Assistant works closely with the clinical research coordinator and team to assist in study operations. This position includes many fundamental tasks of the clinical research process, such as recruitment, communicating with families, organization, entering data, etc.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

  • Assist in administrative tasks related to recruitment and scheduling of participants.
  • Organize study documents for paper and electronic back-ups.
  • Manage records of participant payments (cash, vouchers, gift cards).
  • Maintain RedCap database up-to date.
  • Data entry (Psychology results, demographic information, and MRI reports).
  • Check data for accuracy and completeness; re-entry and data checking.
  • Assist in contact of potential study participants to determine interest in participation.
  • Schedule and manage study appointments in the Psychology Department and Research MRI.
  • Obtain informed consent for study participation.
  • Document and organize contacts and communication with families.
  • Prepare participant files in advance of appointments.
  • Communicate appointment information and maintain contact with families prior to appointment days.
  • Assist with MRI scans, cognitive and iPad testing during study appointments.
