Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for RMN Band 6 (Clinical Team Leader - CTL) nurses. These posts are a 37.5-hour week on rotation .
We are seeking a keen, motivated, flexible and enthusiastic CTL to join our multidisciplinary team. Applicants must possess good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team and using their own initiative. You will be able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude despite the difficulty of any given situation, plus be able to demonstrate the ability to weigh up situations and consider the benefits and risks before clinical decisions are made. We are looking for applicants who are friendly, approachable, compassionate and motivated.
It is an essential requirement for this role to be able to safely demonstrate and use PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training.
Ensure nursing practice is in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional conduct and Mental Health Legislation, which incorporates and respects differences of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, culture and disability.
Participate as an active member of the nursing team, accountable for your practice, and work in partnership with other health care and non health care professionals, patients and others in the delivery of care.
To use a collaborative approach with other disciplines in redesigning delivery of care in accordance with Working in New Ways guidelines. To ensure that all referrals are assessed in relation to the likely impact upon the ward and to the safety of both staff and patients where that risk is considered unacceptable this information should be forwarded to the Ward Manager for consideration.
Develop, promote and implement the ward philosophy, vision and values.
To participate in the bleep-holder rota for in-patient services.
Participate in maintenance of general and specific patient observations, accurately recording all relevant information.
Supervising the implementation of Trust and local risk management processes ensuring these are completed accurately within agreed time frames.
Always act in a manner as to promote and safeguard the interests and well being of patients, visitors and colleagues.

Develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care using a problem solving approach that ensures the needs of each individual patient are met throughout their admission, including detailed arrangements for discharge.

Participate in rotational duties and working in alternative care settings as required.
To undertake the role of Clinical Co-ordinator or Ward Manager during annual leave and sickness absence as required.
To act as a suitable role model for your grade of employment.
To be responsible for the development and implementation of clinical
supervision for nurses.
To participate in appraisal and performance review of the team as well as individual staff and reporting to the Ward Manager
