Principle duties will include: Administration of radiopharmaceuticals by oral, IV and intradermal techniques Following appropriate protocols to provide accurate and timely clinical results for patients undergoing molecular imaging procedures Quality control testing of a wide range of equipment, taking remedial action where required Contributing to patient care, including emergency action in the event of patient deterioration Communicating complicated procedures and concepts to a wide range of people, including patients or relations who may be confused or distressed Job Purpose Provides the technical aspects of the nuclear medicine service within North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust; based at the University Hospital of Hartlepool Performs a range of specialist healthcare science activities Involvement in research and development projects. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
