Our District Research Operations is seeking to engage a Clinical Trials Pharmacist. This position will provide a clinical trials service and support related activities to the district in meeting hospital accreditation to the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework. The successful incumbent will take responsibility for leading the establishment and maintaining a comprehensive Clinical Trials pharmacy service for patients enrolled in Clinical Trials at Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD). This includes the provision of high quality clinical trials and research pharmaceutical services to patients across a broad range of clinical therapeutic areas.
The role will be an integral member of the Nepean Hospital pharmacy team providing specialist knowledge and skills for the pharmacy service and working closely with the Director of Pharmacy in establishing the necessary systems and processes to ensure sustainability of the role. It will also work closely with the Research Directorate, in particular the Director of Research Operations and the Research Business Unit Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in a similar Clinical Trials Pharmacy role as described in the SHPA Clinical Practice Standards.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise workload according to need.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials
- Exceptional effective interpersonal skills, including communication, decisiveness, negotiation, team building, influencing, conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated experience in educating and training of junior staff and a proven ability to build a positive workplace culture.
- Experience in managing financial responsibilities, including contract negotiation, through the development and maintenance of appropriate strategies and effective allocation of resources.
