Are you an experienced critical care nurse looking for the next step in your career! Check out our opportunity for a Clinician with our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at UPMC Western Maryland!
This is a full-time dayshift position that allows the successful candidate to work directly with the Unit Director to support in unit leadership. This is a great way to prepare yourself for a career in nursing leadership! The Clinician will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, but no holidays!
The Clinician is a nurse leader who fosters excellence in patient care. As a role model for professional nursing practice, the Clinician plays a crucial role in:
- Employee Evaluations: Completing and delivering evaluations.
- Staff Selection and Hiring: Conducting staff selection.
- Performance Management: Managing daily performance.
- Education and Expertise: Providing education and clinical guidance.
- Clinical Coordination: Coordinating clinical activities.
- Shift Accountability: May provide nursing care when needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- BS/BSN required. If the BS degree is not in nursing, a Master’s or higher degree in Nursing is required. *Note – if you do not currently have a BSN but are open to earning your degree, you may still be considered for this position!
- Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.
