Description:

CLINICIAN, CRISIS AND OUTREACH

Direct Service - Regulated - (OPSEU)
Part-Time, Contract (Approximately 6 months)
Multi-Site Accountability; Oxford Catchment Area (Oxford Zone)

WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • RPN, RN, or Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology or related field is required (primary proof of credentials will be required during the hiring process i.e. original degree/diploma or official transcript)
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (as an RSW), the College of Nurses of Ontario, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Current, clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
  • Ability to attend work regularly

WE PREFER THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Access to a vehicle
  • Extensive knowledge of Recovery principles
  • Knowledge of community services in Oxford County
  • Ability to develop short-term treatment plans in conjunction with the individual
  • Ability to advocate for and coordinate service access with clients
  • Crisis Management/Intervention Skills
  • Knowledge of Narrative Practices in Single session therapy
  • Knowledge of the Recovery model
  • Knowledge of attributes of serious mental illness and pharmaceuticals used in the treatment of mental illness
  • Knowledge of Legal system
  • Experience working with individuals with an ABI or Development Disability
  • Treatment of Addictions
  • First Aid & CPR
