Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

To contribute to the activities of the Division of Small Animal Clinical Studies, School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine by delivering an effective and efficient high quality, small animal primary care practice based at the Small Animal Hospital and serving the surrounding area. The practice’s values will reflect those of the Division: delivery of high quality patient care through the application of evidence-based medicine and a high standard of customer service; provision of a fulfilling student learning experience; and personnel development through engagement with scholarship.

It is anticipated that the practice will contribute to the Division’s and School’s activities in the following areas:

  • Teaching and assessment of students, focusing on final year students in a practice setting.
  • Supporting and increasing the caseload of the Small Animal Hospital.
  • Enhancement of the Division’s and School’s reputation through delivery of high quality patient care and customer service.
  • Collaborative research and scholarship in an appropriate area of professional education and/or animal health.
