QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE):

• Certified in a cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure
• TOGAF, SAFE or relevant experience

• Demonstrable experience working in project delivery and design roles within cloud platform engineering or architecture, ideally within a media / broadcast environment

• Expertise in creating secure and scalable cloud solutions

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• Significant experience working as a Solution Architect, with hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
• In-depth experience in designing and integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Data Centre virtualization platforms, Compute, SAN, Storage, Data Protection and Virtualization.
• A good understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, Direct Connect/Expressroute, VPNs, subnets, firewalls and cloud native security, and load balancers.
• Experience/knowledge of providing high quality architecture within an Agile delivery environment
• Knowledge and/or experience with DevOps practices. DevOps methodologies, DevOps tools, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with agile and waterfall architecture at scale at all level

As ITV Group Technology Cloud and Platform Architect, you’ll support the Head of Architecture, Enterprise Architects, Cloud Product Managers and platform engineering teams in creating the vision and strategy for ITV’s multi-cloud adoption, supporting ITV’s streaming platforms, applications and data.
You will be working with the architecture team, Chief Architect, technology leadership, business sponsors, cyber security team, operational teams and managed service providers to ensure that ITV’s Cloud and on-premise platforms are fit for purpose. You will provide architecture and technical assurance to a large scale migration programme, focused on reducing legacy hosting environments in favour of strategic cloud platforms.

The role will entail but not be limited to:

• Consulting with technical and non technical stakeholders to identify business requirements and opportunities and then build solution proposals, guiding them through the full project lifecycle
• Designing and integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Deploying and managing Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Ansible, Cloudformation, Python, Powershell, GitOps, Policy as Code, ARM
• Working with container environments and container orchestration tools. E.g., Docker, Kubernetes
• Managing operating systems, including Linux and Windows
• Optimising cloud infrastructure performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Utilising automation tools for streamlining processes
• Influencing and developing relationships through confident, engaging, professional, high-impact interactions
• Utilising visibility/observability solutions. e.g., Platform Monitoring, User Experience Monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring, Application Resource Monitoring,
• Experience with Backups, High Availability and DR
