ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you ready to elevate your career? Compare the Market is seeking a dynamic Cloud Architect to join our passionate team of architects, reporting to the Head of Architecture. In this role, you’ll provide cloud design leadership and strategic guidance across all cloud related assets, driving engagement, promoting a culture of excellence, and delivering high-performance outcomes.
As a critical member of the architecture team, you’ll leverage your expertise in building AWS infrastructure in a scaling business. You’ll develop and deliver secure cloud designs making a meaningful and positive impact on our people, partners, and customers. This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring cloud-first strategy drives our business forward.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures in AWS.
• Support the development of principles, practices, and patterns to standardise secure architectural approaches across clouds (AWS, Azure and GCP)
• Constantly review holistic cohesion of architectural approach across clouds, keep track of technical debt and look for opportunities to improve.
• Help develop service templates for core hygiene elements of cloud deployments.
• Mentor and guide DevOps and Engineering teams of all levels on sound cloud architecture providing insight on where improvements can be made.
• Engage and team-up with the Infosec team to ensure the best practices and to leverage the relevant AWS services for the highest security level.
• Conduct architecture evaluations and collaborating with project management and IT stakeholders to improve any presented architecture.
• Compare technical options to select the one that will be the best fit for CTM.
• Provide a detailed technical architecture design that encompasses the Technology domain (BDAT) as described by the TOGAF architecture framework.
• Continuously research emerging technologies to keep the company ahead of the competition.
