CLOUD ARCHITECT/SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER (AWS)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Cloud Architect/Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client, the AE industry’s only fully cloud-based PIM solution, handles the increasingly complex space of digital communications, documents, and workflows for architectural and engineering firms. The simple, intuitive user interface makes everyday tasks like email filing/archiving, file sharing, and CA workflows automated and effortless. They integrate with industry-standard software like Office 356, Procore, Deltek, Ajera, Unanet, and Teams. The company’s software uses tools and automation to streamline tedious tasks like filing emails, preparing transmittals, and managing logs, enabling architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals to maintain quality records and client satisfaction. The team has always been fully remote. They use MS Teams as the chat and virtual meeting platform. Each engineer uses their preferred IDE. Any tools that help you work faster and better are encouraged. Tickets and the Kanban board organize the work in Jira. They use a CI/CD approach and release in small increments as changes are ready. The team has a short daily standup, and engineers work together as necessary. The current backend is primarily Java - Spring, and the frontend is Vue.js (without WebSocket). The team is shifting to a more (but not exclusive) API-first serverless approach with a reactive frontend. They are undertaking this cautiously as they believe that serverless is incredible for many things, but only some.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of commercial experience with AWS.
• Experience as a Cloud Architect with exposure to AWS.
• Solid experience and understanding of serverless concepts and implementing serverless architecture on AWS from scratch.
• Solid knowledge of AWS Organizations, CloudFormation, StackSets, AWS Service Catalog, and Google Identity.
• General understanding of API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, CDK, VPC, and Security Hub.
• Good knowledge of AWS Lambdas.
• Upper-intermediate-level of English.

Responsibilities:

• Help the team migrate the production workloads to the new infrastructure (the customer has already started building it).
• Optimize CI/CD processes.
• Set up logging and monitoring of new infrastructure.
