In this position…
Work and become a part of the high performing North American Inbound Logistics team who have plans to deploy a vendor developed YMS solution at multiple manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for the devices on the plant floor which include coordinating the connectivity, orchestration and integration of the Fast Gate; RTLS antenna static and dynamic placement; author and own configuration and start up scripts to authorize and open the application on a tablet mounted on HiLos/Switcher Cab trucks; and be a go-to person for Plant IT and MP&L to help enable the plant with the IT solutions to promote the YMS system. The expectation is that the successful candidate will become an expert in the YMS space to continually improve the process and product.
You`ll have…
Bachelor’s Degree
Transportation (TMS, YMS) experience
Manufacturing or Inventory Mangement experience in a production environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project Orientated - Project Management Certified - Ability to organize and prioritize tasks across multiple groups
Positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn

What you`ll do…
Deployment of Vendor Developed YMS Solution: The team has plans to deploy a vendor-developed YMS solution at 12 sites in 2024 and the remaining sites in 2025. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in the successful deployment and implementation of the YMS solution across all sites.
Coordination of Plant Floor Devices: Your responsibilities will include coordinating the connectivity, orchestration, and integration of various devices on the plant floor, such as Fast Gates, RTLS antenna static and dynamic placement, and configuration of tablets mounted on HiLos/Switcher Cab trucks.
Configuration and Start-Up Scripts: You will be tasked with authoring and owning configuration and start-up scripts to authorize and open the YMS application on the tablets mounted on the vehicles, ensuring smooth operation and integration with the YMS system.
Support for Plant IT and MP&L: Act as a go-to person for Plant IT and MP&L departments to help enable the plant with IT solutions that promote the YMS system. This involves providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless integration of IT solutions.
Continuous Improvement: The expectation for the successful candidate is to become an expert in the YMS space and continually improve the process and product. This involves staying up-to-date with industry trends, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing best practices to enhance the YMS system.
Responsible for authoring Rally/Jira user-stories, identifying risks/issues/blockers to progress tasks, contribute to the product roadmap and improve processes.
By taking on this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the successful deployment of the YMS solution, drive operational efficiency, and play a vital role in shaping the future of inbound logistics within the organization. Your expertise and dedication to continuous improvement will be essential in ensuring the success of the YMS implementation across all sites
