• Strong experience as a Database Administrator, especially with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Data Lakes, and Azure Synapse.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services and architecture, particularly for databases.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and the Confluent cloud ecosystem.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Cloud Innovation & Migration: Design and develop innovative cloud solutions, lead cloud migration projects, and support development teams with DevOps tools and technologies.
• Database Management: Implement and maintain database architecture on Azure, focusing on SQL Server and Cosmos DB environments.
• Security & Recovery: Ensure the security of our databases, implement robust data recovery systems, and manage Azure cloud services related to database operations.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance on Azure, applying patches and upgrades as needed.
• Data Architecture: Develop efficient database schemas, tables, and data dictionaries to support scalable data storage and retrieval on Azure.
• Real-Time Data Streaming: Utilize Apache Kafka within Confluent cloud to build and maintain real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.
• Collaboration: Work with IT team members to meet data governance, performance, and security requirements within an Azure cloud environment.
• Automation & Scripting: Implement CI/CD automation tools and frameworks, and write scripts to analyze, monitor, and enhance service quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate (mandatory).
• Preferred: Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification.
• Strong experience as a Database Administrator, especially with SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Data Lakes, and Azure Synapse.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services and architecture, particularly for databases.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and the Confluent cloud ecosystem.
• Expertise in database security, governance, and disaster recovery within Azure.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in a DevOps environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on optimizing Azure cloud services.
