Job Description
NIQ is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer Cybersecurity to join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, deploying, and managing tools, processes, and procedures to secure cloud applications across multiple platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP. The successful candidate will be proficient in Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP), Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP), and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) technologies. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with teams across geographies and playing a key role in securing cloud infrastructure within a multi-national environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 5-8 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing CWPP, CNAPP, and CSPM technologies.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, including container technologies, virtualization, and orchestration within multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security tools such as Azure Security Center, Palo Alto Prisma, Wiz, Orca Security, and others.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and industry frameworks (Zero Trust, passwordless authentication, secrets management, etc.).
  • Certifications such as AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or GCP certifications are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of addressing complex security challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Self-starter with a passion for technology, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated engagement in security conferences, training, and continuous learning is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a global, matrixed environment.
    Additional Information

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud security technologies, including CWPP, CNAPP, and CSPM solutions, to secure cloud platforms and applications.
  • Partner with the application security team to implement security controls aligned with business operations.
  • Provide security recommendations for cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS architecture roadmaps, including baseline security controls and hardening requirements.
  • Define and enforce security guardrails that protect workloads while maintaining deployment agility.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Center to define monitoring requirements for cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Partner with architecture teams on Web Application Firewall (WAF) and API security protection patterns.
  • Contribute to the security champions program by providing expertise and training on cloud infrastructure security.
  • Assist in design and architecture discussions, ensuring that security is embedded in the design of cloud infrastructure.
  • Apply hands-on experience with container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to address security concerns related to containerized environments.
