The IT Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining our organization’s Microsoft 365 (M365) environment and other cloud-based solutions. They play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our cloud-based applications and services, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 (M365), Azure, and other cloud platforms. In addition to these responsibilities, there is also a strong focus on networking, experience in Entra, familiarity with Purview, and ensuring security and compliance within the cloud environment. This is a fast-paced environment, and the candidate must take ownership, show initiative, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience.
Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or relevant Azure certifications are a plus.
Proven experience with cloud administration, including Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance features.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and data governance practices.
Strong networking skills and experience.
Experience with PowerShell scripting for cloud administration.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong prioritisation skills and ability to multi-task to handle competing priorities.
Must have excellent documentation skills.
Exposure to AWS is a bonus.
Exposure to Jamf is a bonus.
