As a Cloud Platform Engineer at Mentimeter you will be a part of our Platform team, a team responsible for enabling product teams by providing a highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure platform.
You will work within an important function of the engineering organization, actively participating in technology choices and shaping our platform. Your team’s work will empower our Product teams to run their code in a scalable and secure manner. This will involve close collaboration with other teams to ensure we set our engineering department up for success. Your team’s success will greatly impact Mentimeter, our engineers’ productivity, and developers’ experience.
Daily tasks will involve addressing various scalability and reliability challenges in AWS and iterating on building a robust monitoring system for our production systems in collaboration with your team. You will work extensively with AWS, Terraform, DataDog, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing incidents, conducting thorough post-mortems to learn from them and prevent future occurrences, solving platform issues, and thinking ahead to build for the future in order to support the exponential growth of our company.This position offers the opportunity to grow your skills and expertise as a Platform Engineer by addressing challenging problems and learning from the outcomes.
Technologies that you’ll be exposed includes AWS, Terraform, Ruby, Typescript, Cloudflare and Datadog, among others.
