Description:
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
We are now looking for creative, upbeat, out of the box individuals with strong leadership skills to join Engineering Unit Cloud RAN.
Cloud RAN leads the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering with customer deployments. The unit consists of development functions covering the total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks & capability to contribute to open source communities.
Security in the Radio Access Network becomes more and more important. 5G networks will serve as critical infrastructures to facilitate the digitization, automation, and connectivity to machines. An end-to-end security solution is key in the infrastructure.
We are looking for a team driver to the team working with end-to-end vulnerability management for Cloud RAN products including vDU2.0, vCU, RANS, RLO, etc.,
Responsibilities:
- Understand and align the business and technical prioritizations within Cloud Platform
- Be a driving force and active contributing member of the Cloud Platform and Security Requirement Area
- Be responsible for creation and evolution overall Cloud Platform test strategy aligned with the Cloud RAN/Purpose built test strategy evolution
- Be committed to data driven practices and enabling the organization to make fact-based decisions
- Drive large scale industrialization and automation of all test and analysis activities and actively define the Cloud platform test harness and Raptor frameworks
- Plan test activities based on test objectives and risk (estimate time/cost, selection approach, acquiring resources)
- Introduce appropriate test and Cloud platform reference configuration matrices
- Support and educate our development and test teams regarding test strategy, including supporting and cooperating with the line and program organizations.
- Continuously propose and identify ways to visualize Cloud platform and security metrics
- Drive real-time metrics information into developer fingertips using industry leading practises and collaborating across BNEW GenAI and DX teams
- Highlight and identify issues/gaps in cloud platform and security testing areas when it comes to driving customer use-cases
- Ensure test channels are planned and build strategies are in place
- Ensure test practices and processes addressed in Cloud Platform test strategy are followed (assume a governor role)
- Act as the interface for adding and prioritizing all types of product care and quality backlog items
- Identify, evaluate, define & clarify process, and drive improvements and impediments in the area
- Work close with the central security team to evolve the strategy and tooling for vulnerability management
- Experiment and use innovative technologies and methodologies
- Contribute to defining and crafting a go-get team culture, ways of working and environment
- Provide input towards test tool requirements
- Participate in feature studies and provide input towards test needs
- Participate in fault slip through analysis support teams on improvements. Support actions based on the outcome of the findings.
- Work with and drive improvements towards tools used in the test environment, e.g. GTMS, JIRA
