JOB TITLE: CLOUD PLATFORMS TEAM LEAD

Location: Ville Saint-Laurent, QC or Minnetonka, MN or Scottsdale, AZ or Vancouver, WA
Job Type: Full-time
Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Reporting Structure: Sr. Director, Infrastructure
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Platforms Team Lead to manage cloud operations and architecture across AWS and Azure platforms. This role requires an advanced understanding of cloud technologies, with a focus on optimizing cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost efficiency. The Cloud Platforms Team Lead will oversee the cloud team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance, availability, and compliance with security standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Lead or Manager role, with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members effectively.
  • Expertise in cloud architecture, deployment, and operations, with a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Proven experience managing cloud budgets and optimizing cloud costs using AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration tools, and serverless architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Saint-Laurent, QC H4S 1M

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Architect and deploy scalable solutions in AWS and Azure, troubleshooting and optimizing systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance cloud architecture for performance, security, and manageability, collaborating with other IT teams on planning and implementation.
  • Manage cloud budgets, including forecasting, cost optimization, and monitoring of cloud expenditures.
  • Drive the automation of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements by working closely with security teams on IAM, encryption, and network security.
  • Oversee day-to-day cloud operations, leading the team in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents.
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, best practices, and procedures to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead and mentor the cloud team, providing guidance and support for the successful delivery of cloud solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
