In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in securing our cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud security management solutions that align with industry best practices and organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cloud Security Solutions:Design, configure, and maintain robust cloud security solutions, including identity and access management, data encryption, threat protection, and security automation.
  • Security Migration:Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to migrate security components to cloud services, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with security standards.
  • Incident Response:Proactively monitor and troubleshoot cloud security events, working closely with cloud service providers to resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Governance and Compliance:Ensure that all cloud security practices adhere to governance and compliance requirements, including risk management, incident response, and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Leadership:Provide technical planning, systems integration, verification, and validation expertise, guiding the organization in making informed decisions on cloud security strategies.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools, evaluate their applicability to our environment, and recommend enhancements to our cloud security processes and products.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed reports, documentation, and dashboards on cloud security metrics, incidents, and ongoing projects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 years of experience in Cloud Security, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Proven experience maintaining cloud security management solutions, including designing and configuring automation, notifications, and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to migrate security components to cloud services, including cloud security platforms and APIs.
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud security events and issues, and collaborating with cloud service providers to resolve issues or implement working solutions.
  • Experience in technical planning, systems integration, verification, and validation, with the ability to evaluate alternatives and make informed decisions.
  • Experience analyzing emerging technologies and tools for applicability to customers, and preparing reports and recommendations on new and changes to processes and products.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and threat protection.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security features, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft 365 Defender.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security governance and compliance, including risk management and incident response.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Microsoft Azure certification.
  • AWS, CSPM and CWPP certification.
