Description:
Sensata INSIGHTS offers a broad portfolio of full-stack IoT solutions to convert data from information to insights.
We are currently recruiting a Cloud Software Developer, based in our Antrim site, working as part of a global, cross-functional team.
In this role, you will be responsible to architect, develop, maintain and improve the Sensata cloud platform and deliver unique insights which provide high value to our end customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of technologies and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This position involves developing and maintaining software solutions using various modern technologies, ensuring high-quality performance and scalability.

- Key participant in the design, implementation and deployment of highly scalable microservices into the cloud
- Utilizes a variety of languages and tools to integrate different systems
- Organizes all aspects of the software product life-cycle, from initial software requirements capture, architectural design, coding design, implementation, test and release
- Collaborates with other team members to establish best practices and maintainable processes
- Advocate a culture of high-quality software development
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience building great software using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET and SQL.
- Develop and maintain applications using the Azure platform, including App services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure API Management, Azure SQL Server, etc.
- Utilize git and CI/CD technologies for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
- Set up and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure as code.
- Implement and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality.
- Understands agile methodologies, SCRUM, continuous integration (Jenkins), and tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Trello, Slack.
- A hands-on, “roll up the sleeves”, action-oriented approach coupled with a creative spirit.
- Must be impeccably honest and ethical, passionate, self-managed and results focused.
Any of the following will be an advantage:
- Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and performance tools such as Datadog.
- Familiarity with Telerik tools for UI development.
- Experience working with IoT and/or vehicle telematics devices.
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols, such as SAE J1939 and ISO 15765.
- Experience with C++11 and newer.
- Knowledge of the TCP/UDP network protocols.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD technologies
