Description:

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall Bank of Ireland IT Digital transformation journey. You will work with the best talent in a multi-vendor environment and be part of a growing team which is building solutions from scratch using native technologies.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.

The below are desirable

  • Certification in AWS and/or Azure
  • DevOps tooling and processe(preferable ScrumP- Agile and CI/CD: Jira, Jenkins, Artifactory, bitbucket or public cloud native such as ADO, CodeBuild, Cloud 9.
  • Cloud Security - Guardrails, SCPs and networking.
  • TOGAF certification is a plus

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Design cloud solutions and new features that are aligned with business requirements and bank policies, refining requirements to ensure the built solution meets business and customer needs,
  • Provide guidance to business and other areas on the best use of cloud computing, and guiding partners on solution implementation.
  • Assess opportunities for cloud adoption, constantly review the bank’s public cloud platform for innovation and cost optimisation,
  • Presenting and communicating architectural solutions to technical and non-technical partners, working with other bank areas to ensure security by design is adopted, and
  • Creating and documenting repeatable patterns to accelerate cloud adoption and reduce overhead for platform customers.
