Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Systems Administrator to be a key player in our dynamic Computer Operations team based in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office!
Reporting to the Manager of Computer and Network Operations, this role will be responsible for the stable operation, availability, reliability, and performance of the Windows Server Environments according to the standards and procedures held by the Computer Operations and IT teams.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup & Configuration: Install, configure server hardware/software, and set up VMware networking.
  • Maintenance & Updates: Perform regular updates, patches, and monitor server performance.
  • Security: Implement firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection as directed by the security team.
  • User Management: Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and ensure policy compliance.
  • Troubleshooting & Documentation: Diagnose, document, and resolve hardware/software issues, provide technical support.
  • Cloud Management: Set up, configure, and manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor performance, optimize resources for cost-efficiency.
  • Automation: Automate tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Backup/Recovery & Support: Manage cloud backup strategies and disaster recovery plans and provide technical support by troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues.
