Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining and evolving the infrastructure that hosts and delivers the core business applications and workflows worldwide. Exposure is broad, covering many different technologies across business units, working in tandem with various teams, establishing relationships, all to provide a stable and efficient platform for the business to operate. This position requires a strong ability to drill down into the lower-level technical details while taking a holistic view, for triaging of major incidents and managing an end-to-end solution. You need to lead and manage a task force of stakeholders across multiple technical teams for permanent resolution of major incidents. Strong communication and organizational qualities are keys to success for the role. This position requires a strong balance between day-to-day server operations (70%) and project engagement (30%), subject to change based on organizational needs. The right candidate for this role must be able to Anticipate, Identify, Analyze and Solve operational incidents, while setting and managing expectations with various stakeholders.
The highest priority is providing stability within the daily operations of the environment. To achieve this, we must follow a consistent approach, eliminating unnecessary complexities, making solutions easier to manage.
You will be a member of our global server operations team who is responsible for managing and providing support for our services hosted in multiple regions within the Microsoft Azure environment. As a member, you will serve as an escalation point for other systems engineers on the team and you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring other team members and guiding them accordingly.
As part of providing support to a global environment, you will be part of an on-call rotation that leverages several engineers in their respective US and European time zones.
