Now hiring Clubhouse Servers, Bartenders & Halfway House Attendants for the 2025 golf season.
Located in the picturesque Muskoka, Ontario, Öviinbyrd provides a backdrop beyond comparison. Öviinbyrd is one of Canada’s most prestigious golf clubs and we are searching for qualified servers, bartenders, and Halfway House attendants to join our team.
All service staff are responsible for providing kind, friendly & professional service for members and their guests while dining on property, either on course or at the clubhouse. Our team must have the ability to confidently provide appropriate recommendations on wine, cocktails, and menu items while following our guided steps of service with a strong attention to detail.
Our strong leadership team is focused on supporting, developing and empowering all service staff to leave this summer position with strong transferable skills to take into any professional setting. With one of Canada’s most elaborate wine programs, our F&B leaders are constantly providing training, tastings and unique wine experiences to our service staff and their product knowledge.

SUMMARY

The role of a Clubhouse Server, Bartender or Halfway House Attendant is to provide our members and guests of Öviinbyrd Golf Club with “best in class” service in an organized and professional manner. You will be part of a team that works alongside Management to provide a memorable dining experience in a welcoming atmosphere. You will report to the General Manager and F&B Management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to operate in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong understanding of high-end customer service.
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility.
  • Strong verbal skills to communicate with colleagues, management, members and guests.
  • Ability to work independently or cohesively with a team.
  • Smart Serve Certification required for all staff serving alcohol on premise.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
    Contract length: 5 months
    Pay: From $24.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 30 – 55 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of customer service on an on-going basis in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Lead by example and be a team contributor.
  • Communicate well with colleagues, management, members and guests.
  • Welcome members and guests in the Clubhouse & on Course for dining experiences.
  • Maintain and restock all service stations.
  • Polish and maintain cleanliness of all glassware, cutlery & china used during service.
  • Properly communicate Chef’s features daily and guide diners through their menu selections.
  • Properly communicate all wine & cocktail features.
  • Assist in the day to day operation of the Clubhouse & Halfway House service team.
  • Assist with general cleanliness and maintenance of the service area, patios, lounge, dining room and surrounding Clubhouse spaces & on-course washroom facilities.
  • Serve the needs of the members and guests in accordance with the operational and health & safety policies and procedures outlined in the Oviinbyrd Golf Club Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures booklet and your detailed job description.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested by Management.
  • Complete ongoing employee feedback surveys in an anonymous platform
  • Participate in one-on-one employee/employer reviews
