Description:

CNC BORING MILL OPERATOR – AFTERNOON SHIFT

Wage range: $33.00 – 38.00

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 3:00am*

  • Training to occur during Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. This position will report to the General Foreman.

Your qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • A minimum of 3 years programming CNC machines using G codes is necessary
  • Familiarity with Fanuc is required
  • Demonstrated ability to program and operate a horizontal boring mill is required
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software is an asse

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to set up, program and run the Kuraki Horizontal Boring Mill using a Fanuc controller
  • Study specifications, charts, drawings or sample parts to determine the machining operation to be performed
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Write and Edit Fanuc software, at the machine
  • Check parts for defects
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary
  • Maintain and repair equipment as required
  • Maintain a clean orderly and safe work environment at all times
