Eventscape is seeking a Laser Operator to join our metal fabrication team.
The ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver with experience setting up and operating a CNC laser cutter and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The CNC Laser Operator operator will:
- Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings for fabrication.
- Set up and operate Amada CO2 laser cutting machine for various materials.
- Load programs, monitor machine operations, and ensure cutting quality.
- Adjust settings to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues, verify cut quality, and use precision tools.
- Adjust laser programs using machine and/or CAD/CAM software.
- Maintain machine consumables and perform routine checks and calibrations.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and track maintenance logs.
- Assist with other machines and support team members.
- Cut and fit material for assembly using powered saws, shears, bending, or punching machine.
- Adhere to quality standards and assist with housekeeping and general maintenance.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience in setup and operation of CNC CO2 laser (Amada).
- Familiarity with maintenance and calibration procedures for Amada machines.
- Physical abilities to move sheet metal and other materials.
- The ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality control.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance
