We’re looking for a CNC Machinist! Join us at SyBridge Technologies and leverage your expertise to make a real difference!

POSITION SUMMARY

In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the CNC Machinist is responsible for programming and operating a CNC machine to build tools using 3D models. Reporting to the Machining Leader, the CNC Machinist ensures first time quality is a priority each and every time while also achieving time allowances for each job assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three (3) years of related experience operating CNC;
  • Three (3) years’ experience programming CNC machines (3-AXIS, MasterCam software is an asset);
  • Ability to operate multiple machines at a time and work in a team environment;
  • Powermill experience
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required;
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met;
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficient in time management and communication skills

Responsibilities:

On a daily basis:

  • Import, manipulate, and process 3D models;
  • Machine steel with close attention to health and safety requirements;
  • Use tools and machinery provided; program, setup and operate the CNC machine using 3-AXIS, and powermill 5Aixs.
  • Machine mold plates, components, cores and cavities; holding tolerances as tight as less than 0.0005;
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments/probe to ensure first time quality;
  • Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances;
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs;
  • Utilize FCS toe clamping and chucks for setup and fixturing.

As required:

  • Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed;
  • Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations;
  • Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.;
  • Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
