QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid math skills, understanding of geometry and trigonometry
  • Adjust, operate, and understand set-up of machines and tools in your area to produce various parts with specifications from blueprints
  • Exceptional teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of G code
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or other documents
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
  • A demonstrated history of a good attendance record
  • Must be safety and environmentally focused

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Other training qualification in CNC Machining is an asset
  • 5 years CNC machine experience; Fanuc controls preferred

CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill the role of CNC Machinist/Operator.
Afternoon shift hours (approximately): Monday to Thursday from 2:45 pm to 00:45 am (10 hours shift Mon-Thu).

PURPOSE

The CNC Machinist/Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating CNC machines and producing parts according to specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup and operate multiple axis CNC machines
  • Edit programs and adjust offsets as necessary to produce parts to specification with some supervision
  • Adhere to machine maintenance schedules
  • Support the CNC Supervisor, Manager or Production manager to meet production control timelines
  • Follow instructions from the CNC Supervisor, Manager or VP of Production for the machining of parts scheduled for jobs, service, or repair
  • Training other CNC employees on a variety of CNC machines, Fanuc controls, tools, and operations
  • Follow all safety policies and guidelines
