QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical certificate or training in CNC machining preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator or machine operator.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD files.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, and gauges).
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathe, milling, or other precision machinery) to produce parts to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine product specifications and tooling instructions.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate cutting, shaping, and finishing of parts.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to minimize downtime.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency during production runs.
  • Perform routine machine inspections and maintenance (e.g., checking coolant levels, changing out tooling, cleaning machines).
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality control staff to address any production issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Document production processes and results, maintaining accurate records of parts produced, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
