JOB DESCRIPTION

As a CNC operator, you will play a key role in optimizing the production process by effectively handling CNC machines. You will be responsible for preparing, adjusting parameters, and inspecting manufactured parts. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of technical drawings/plan reading.
• Understanding of G and M codes.
• Successful completion of the theoretical and practical exam.
• Must have previously operated a CNC machine.
• Must hold a vocational diploma and/or relevant experience before being linked to the position.
• Capable of using and interpreting measuring instruments.
• Capable of reading and modifying a machine program.
• Capable of safely handling workpieces, scraps, and steel plates.
• Slinging training and certification.

SKILLS

• Problem-solving ability.
• Understand PVA Continuous Improvement principles.

• Understanding the capabilities and limitations of CNC Plasma.
• Able to organize their work in a way that optimizes CNC Plasma operation (minimizing torch downtime).
• Capable of installing and aligning steel plates on the table.
• Able to adjust machine parameters.
• Capable of self-inspecting produced parts.
• Able to remove cut pieces and sort them correctly to facilitate deburring.
• Capable of safely and efficiently disposing of scrap.
• Able to detect execution errors and correct them.
• Capable of inspecting parts produced by others.
• Ability to demonstrate to others how to operate the CNC Plasma.
