Description:

CNC Machinist for a full time position with manufacturing company.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Operate, Set Up and program CNC Lathe and CNC Mill.
  • Operate, Set Up and program conventional Lathe and Mill.
  • Operate and set up sawing machines, screw machines, surface grinders, drilling and tapping machines, tool grinders
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Strong sense of teamwork, reliability, dependability a must
  • Knowledge and application of Mastercam CAD/CAM software, Fanuc control knowledge
  • Knowledge of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) an asset

· Repair machine tools and parts
· Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
· Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
· Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
· Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Education/Certification: Machinist Trade Certification; · College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience should be up to 4 years or 5 years and more.
