SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in CNC program editing, setup, and operation.
  • 1 year CNC machines set up operation in metal manufacturing.
  • Intermediate precision measuring knowledge.
  • Knowledge of overhead cranes would be an asset.
  • Adaptable, basic math skills, analytical, with a positive team attitude.
  • Demonstrated blueprint interpretation and commitment to quality processes. Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, including lathes and milling equipment.
  • Interpret and adjust CNC programs to ensure accurate machining.
  • Handle material loading and monitor the production process for optimal material utilization.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to verify conformity to blueprints and quality standards.
  • Perform tool changes and offsets during the machining process to maintain accuracy.
  • Execute basic preventative maintenance on CNC machines for optimal functionality.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions of finished parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, adjustments, and encountered issues.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address production or quality issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
