Responsibilities:

  • Support the Process and PSM Engineering team at the Redwater site
  • Participate, as needed, as a technical resource for turnaround related initiatives
  • Design, implementation, and closure of process related projects using the Management of Change system
  • Review, recommend, and design solutions to process hazard assessment (PHA) follow-up items
  • Provide process engineering support to capital project development and design
  • Complete level appropriate engineering studies, calculations, and modeling and simulation of chemical processes
  • Review and update process safety information and documentation such as P&IDs, Isometrics, Equipment Files, etc.
  • Work with a licensed professional engineer that will provide guidance and who will take responsibility for the work products required
  • Complete basic technical reports, analysis, and transactions by applying subject matter knowledge related to chemical or process engineering (typical of a professional engineer)
  • Spend some field time in an operating unit, that, at times, will require climbing stairs, ladders and walking through plant operating areas
  • Travel (if required) will likely be by car to various sites in Alberta
