Co-op Software Engineer - AI Advancement

This is a 8 months’ Full-time. Co-op employment opportunity starting January 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Third year or higher BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with Python a must
• Hands-on experience using OpenAI API, langchain and other AI tools including advanced open source AI models
• Development of presentations that teach others interesting topics
• An aptitude for working in uncertainty, pathfinding and exploring a new space
• An understanding of generative AI models, their strengths and weaknesses
• An understanding of retrieval augmentation, embeddings, and vector databases

HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience integrating external data sources with generative AI models
• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmentation Generation (RAG)
• Experience with retrieval augmentation with LLM
• Familiar with generative AI IDE and infrastructure
• Experience with web development, and UI development
• Deep understanding of the structure of generative AI models

• Develop Python functions to consolidate internal data sources
