Łódź-based opportunity with remote work model (2 days in the office/month)
As a COBOL Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in online banking. You will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining applications using IBM Mainframe technologies. This role involves working with a team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of the banking sector. Your expertise in COBOL and related technologies will be essential in ensuring the reliability and performance of the banking applications.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: DESIGN, PROGRAM, TEST, AND MAINTAIN APPLICATIONS USING COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, AND SQL

• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery
• Work with IBM Mainframe and z/OS operating systems
• Utilize your knowledge of banking sector requirements to develop appropriate solutions
• Follow Agile methodologies and participate in SCRUM meetings
• Ensure applications are well-documented and maintainable

YOU’RE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:

• A degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience with IBM Mainframe and z/OS operating systems
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and SQL
• Experience in designing, programming, testing, and maintaining applications using the mentioned technologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• English proficiency sufficient for understanding documentation
• Experience in the banking sector is a plus
• Familiarity with SCRUM framework is a plus
