Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full time Band 7 practitioner (qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Supervision) to join the CAMHS Mental Health Support Team in Bracknell.
The Mental Health Support Te am (MHST) provide assessments and short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. Clinicians working for the Mental Health Support Team service will promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people in educational settings in Schools . They will offer advice, information and support to young people and families, and consultation and training to professionals, as appropriate . You may provide o utreach support to promote engagement, where needed . You will lead the Bracknell Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and work closely with your Getting Help Team (GHT) colleagues and the MHST/Getting Help Team Lead to provide mental health consultation s and advice to partner agencies, including the Local Authority , Youth Offending Teams and CAMHS pathways .
This is a unique opportunity to be part of and contribute to a creative, supportive, and innovative service . This is an important post at the interface with education settings, partner agencies and specialist CAMHS. The Mental Health Support Team sits alongside the Getting Help Team . Operational management and clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare CAMH
Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
E vidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, as appropriate)
To offer training, consultation and supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the MHST.
Within schools actively promote the whole school-based approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being.
Provide leadership to the MHST , and d eputising l eadership to the team as required .
Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Training to professionals
