At Zebra’s Customer Success & Services (CSS) team, our mission is to protect customers’ business processes by assuring performance from their mission-critical technology. Whether through rapid repair and replacement, Managed Services that oversee asset use and health, freeing IT and Operations resources, or giving insights to improve business operations, we keep customers doing what they do best. We provide repair service and technical support for millions of Zebra devices in the field.
As a Software Product Owner in Zebra’s Managed Services Organization, you will focus on the VisibilityIQ platform to drive continuous improvement of our industry leading Visibility services products. This innovative solution combines traditional device data, IoT device data from sensors on Zebra devices, backend business process data and other systems of record to deliver actionable intelligence to our customer to optimize their device availability, health, and utilization. The emphasis is on aggregating this data from the many sources and analyzing it to convert it into information that will help customers and partners manage their business operations. Our goal is to enable smoother operations by providing actionable insights into potential problems before they impact the business. The Software Product Owner executes on the vision and strategy outlined by the Product Manager through owning the implementation of service products development to optimize the company’s products and solutions. They apply industry experience and knowledge of Zebra’s products, as well as the competitive environment, to translate market needs and business requirements to detailed product requirements. They own the near-term Program Increment Roadmap, team backlog, feature prioritization & implementation. The Software Product Owner also works cross functionally within Zebra with our highly innovative team of software engineers, data scientists, program managers and product managers.
Responsibilities:
- This position will be responsible for execution on global product vision and strategy, owning implementation of service products development
- Own the Program Increment Roadmap (across 1-3 quarters), team backlog, feature prioritization and implementation
- Translate market needs and business requirements to detailed product requirements negotiating feature implementation and operational supportability trade-offs that may be needed, while preserving the integrity of business requirements
- Ability to identify, negotiate, and document feature requirements based on customer outcomes that balances the outbound business intent with the inbound technology constraints with high quality
- Drives collaborative work, defend customer needs aligning with product strategy while negotiating against technical, time and price constraints with engineering, data science, operations, program management and product management to develop, align on business objectives and execute to plan
- Ability to work independently across operations teams, software engineers, data scientists to define and evolve the VisibilityIQ SaaS product
Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Business, Engineering or computer science bachelor’s degree
required or demonstrated commensurate experience. Advanced Degree is a plus
Preferred Work Experience (years):
- Minimum 8-12 years of successfully delivering innovativeand forward-thinking solutions
- At least 3 years’ experience working Agile methodology
- Demonstrated experience in product managementdiscipline and working in Agile delivery teams.
- Seeking candidates with entrepreneurial spirit, creativethinking, and servant leadership
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in at least onemajor collaboration tool provider, such as Microsoft,Zoom, Slack, Google
- Strong project management, planning, andorganizational skills.
- Substantial track record of delivering technologysolutions to meet the strategic needs of businessoperations.
- Technical experience with defining and deliveringcollaborations strategies, architectures and operatingmodels.
- Demonstrated capability in categorizing end user typesand working styles and translating that into technicalrequirements for proven solutions.
- Knowledge of leading and implementing changemanagement and continuous learning programs with enduser communities.
- Experience with Product Management/Ownership;defining and maintaining product architecture blueprintsand roadmaps.
