Position Summary: To join our hybridized working environment Prefera Finance is in search of a driven, motivated, enthusiastic person with a positive can-do attitude to join our fast-growing team in the consumer finance industry as a full time Collection Specialist!
As a Collection Specialist, you will analyze and manage our clients’ accounts. You will work with clients to strategize a plan to arrange past due payments and meet monthly goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience in a call-center work environment/equivalent
  • Previous work experience in providing excellent customer service
  • Previous financial collection experience is considered an asset, but not required
  • Diploma/Certificate in related industry is an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, previous work experience with Excel is an asset
  • Fully fluent in English language (speaking, reading and writing)

Responsibilities:

  • Providing superior customer service while addressing customer concerns and updating account information
  • Communicate with clients via inbound/outbound in regard to past due balances while seeking resolution
  • Create payment plans, negotiate payments, provide written correspondence regarding account status etc..
  • Analyze data from AR Reports identifying key account issues & suggested resolution
  • Leave accurate notes on all accounts worked via our internal platform
