We are seeking a Collection Technician become an important member of the on-site team. This position plays an important role in the overall success of the organization and requires professionalism, accuracy, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and flexibility in working hours.
As Canada’s Fitness for Duty experts, DriverCheck’s top priority is the safety of our client’s staff and workplace. Founded in 1996, DriverCheck is the leading provider of workplace medical testing and assessments in the country serving over 6,400 employers in a variety of industries including transportation, oil & gas, mining, construction, medical and forestry. DriverCheck conducts over 250,000 medical tests annually, offering alcohol and drug testing, occupational health services, fatigue management, and injury management programs.
The primary focus of the Collection Technician would be to work independently on various office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by management. You will be responsible to work in conjunction with the Clinic Team Lead and Regional Manager.
Responsibilities:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct drug collections and testing, as well as alcohol testing in accordance with DriverCheck protocols and procedures;
- After-hours collections will be required on a rotating basis;
- Answer phones, book appointments, greet customers;
- Customer service and relations as appropriate;
- Organize and maintain paperwork flow and process;
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE:
- High school diploma;
- 6+ months experience in the medical lab/technician field would be preferred;
- Excellent customer service & communication skills;
- Detail oriented with accuracy
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as this role could require travel within the region
