MINIMUM OF THREE (3) YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Working with archaeological collections and/or artifacts, archives, photographs, audio-visual collections, library at a large-scale institution;
  • The use of database for collections and office systems;
  • Experience providing reference services and client services in a cultural environment;
  • Effective communication with the public;
  • Management of multiple requests and coordination of projects with multi-disciplinary teams

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Of Canadian history in general;
  • Of classification system for archaeological collections;
  • Of customer Service principles and best practices;
  • Of current laws relating to, but not limited to, copyright, access to information, privacy protection;
  • Of methodical organization of diverse information;
  • Of the use of database for collections and office systems.
    Education: University degree in Canadian History, Humanities, Social Sciences, Archaeology, Anthropology, Material Culture or Collections Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Compensation: $ 68, 493$ to $ 84,767
    Status: Permanent Full-Time Position (# 9947)
