JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Collections Assistant II to run feasibility studies and order and track satellite data. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail and be motivated to perform quality work. This full-time, exempt position will report directly to the Sr. Collections Manager.
A successful candidate must be available to accept a shift schedule that includes weekend and evening work, depending on company needs. Once trained and accepted for shift work, a 20% shift differential would be added to the base salary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience with tasking satellite data and/or imagery
  • Experience in a geographic or geospatial field

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Excel/Google Sheets
  • Appsmith
  • QGIS or ArcGIS
  • Google Earth

Responsibilities:

  • Manage collections requests from internal and external customers
  • Work with Ursa Space tools to execute feasibility and tasking for collections and provide feedback to the Engineering team for tool improvements
  • Work with appropriate vendor partners to obtain feasibilities, confirm an option that meets the customers’ needs, and task the imagery
  • Understand specific satellite collection parameters to support a specific application
  • Relay the tasking information to the customer
  • Support the workflow development and document processes for obtaining catalog information, ingesting images, and placing satellite data orders
  • Make recommendations for process and efficiency enhancements for how to manage collections and interact with a given vendor for our satellite data requests
  • Keep vendor technical information updated on Confluence
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to track multiple projects
  • All other duties as assigned
