We are currently seeking a Collections Assistant to join our Vancouver team to support both the Legal Support and Accounting departments.
This position is ideal for a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will have a strong client service focus, solid organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills. This position will manage collections processes and perform various administrative duties according to business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Send payment reminders to clients
- Identify delinquent accounts
- Verify and record client electronic payments
- Review intercompany AR postings
- Process write-offs pending partner approval
- Provide ad hoc administrative support as required
What will help you succeed in this role?:
- An aptitude for administrative processes and quality control
- Previous work experience in a legal or accounting environment is an asset
- Ability to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions as needed
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
- A critical thinker with a resourceful approach
- Ability to learn quickly, particularly in relation to software, processes, and programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Keen desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude
- Professional manner in communicating with others
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills
The salary range for this position is $45,000-$48,000 per annum, dependent on years/relevance of individual experience.
