Description:
We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in Pittsford, New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, focusing on the financial industry and customer relationship management. As a Collections Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing customer accounts, processing credit applications, and ensuring the smooth operation of our collections processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action where necessary
- Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy at all times
- Maintain detailed records of customer credit information
- Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Utilize various accounting software systems to manage and track customer information
- Work closely with the accounts receivable team to manage billing functions
- Actively participate in the administration of claims
- Answer inbound calls, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues
- Utilize CRM and Epic Software to manage customer interactions and data
- Implement and manage collection processes, working to recover debt when necessary.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Familiarity with Accurint system
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Knowledge of Epic Software
- Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls
- Proficient in Billing Functions
- Experience in Claim Administration
- Knowledge of Collection Processes and Collections
- Understanding of Debt management strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial compliance guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
