Collections Specialist

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in ERLANGER, Kentucky. This role is crucial to our finance team, focusing on managing the collection and recovery of outstanding payments from our business clients. The Collections Specialist will liaise with various departments, clients, and senior staff to ensure that payments are made in a timely and effective manner, contributing towards the financial health of our organization.

• Manage a portfolio of business-to-business debtor accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain detail oriented and regular communication with customers to facilitate debt recovery.
• Analyze and promptly resolve payment disputes professionally.
• Maintain accurate record of all activities, keep track of debtor balances, credit limits, and payment due dates.
• Recommend and implement strategies to proactively minimize future debt occurrence.
• Ensure that all financial transactions comply with the Company’s policies and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to align on business practices and objectives.
• Conduct credit checks on potential customers, assign and update credit ratings.
• Provide regular reports highlighting aging of accounts receivables, collection projections, and any escalated collection issues.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Prior experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Must possess the ability to effectively manage Answering Inbound Calls
• Familiarity with Billing Functions is necessary
• Experience in Claim Administration is a plus
• Sound knowledge of Collection Processes is needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
