Collections Specialist

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Parsipanny, New Jersey. This role is primarily based in the industry of accounting and finance, with a focus on maintaining and improving our collection processes. The job function requires a blend of skills including proficiency in accounting software systems, accounts receivable and collection processes, and a strong ability to communicate effectively via phone and email.

• Overseeing the transition from existing systems (Deltek and Concur) into SAP.
• Addressing older accounts and ensuring collections are in order.
• Learning and adapting quickly to new software systems to effectively carry out collections tasks.
• Primarily communicating through phone calls and emails in a business-to-business (B2B) setting.
• Sorting collections and making a significant amount of phone calls to ensure accurate and timely collections.
• Providing support to the accounting team and ensuring all customer equipment is available onsite.
• Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer credit records.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts and the collection process.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary for this role.
• Familiarity with Accurint software is a prerequisite.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required.
• Proficiency in Epic Software will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes is necessary.
• Experience in answering inbound calls is required.
• Familiarity with various billing functions is needed.
• Proficiency in claim administration is desirable.
• Experience with collection processes is a key requirement.
