You will be educated to A-level standard or possess equivalent experience in a similar administrative role. You will have excellent skills in using Microsoft Office and your experience in handling complex record systems, working under pressure, and managing various issues will be essential to your success in this role. You should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, managing your own workload while responding to the demands of senior leadership. Strong communication abilities are critical, as is your capacity to work collaboratively within a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a flexible attitude towards adapting to new circumstances will ensure you thrive in our diverse and inclusive community. Experience in supporting multi-functional teams and familiarity with University systems such as SAP, SITS, and Smarter Purchasing would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the College Professional Services team, you will provide vital administrative support to senior academic and professional services colleagues in the College of Science and Engineering. You will manage correspondence, provide proactive diary management, arrange meetings and events and assist with information management. The role also includes handling requests related to HR, finance, health and safety, and student administration, applying confidentiality and data protection that adheres to university policies.
Your organisational skills will be key to ensuring that college operation meetings and reporting of actions run smoothly. You will also assist with the planning and execution of college priorities, contribute to team meetings, and maintain contractual and compliance information. By taking the initiative, you will pro-active, able to motivate peers and colleagues across the University, anticipating the needs of the leadership team you will be confident in offering supporting in a fast-paced environment.
